Finding the Space
Getting the best work from your wellness Practitioner
In order for your Practitioner to conduct the session in the most effective way possible - and for you to get the most benefit:
* If your Practitioner is bringing a portable massage table for you to lay on:
- a rectangle about 5' x 7' or more so there is space for the table and for your Practitioner to move around it
- first floor, or an elevator available in multi-story buildings - heavy equipment is dangerous to carry up and down stairs
- if you're not sure whether your session requires a table, contact your Practitioner to confirm
* Practitioners won't be moving furniture or your belongings, so please be sure the space is cleared of obstacles prior to your session. To avoid damage to your space, pleace make sure there is an adequate working area for the type of session you are booking.
* Many Practitioners utilize products and tools during a session, including but not limited to oils, lotions, portable tables, glass equipment, and/or electronic devices. Choose a space where expensive rugs or any other cherished household items won't be damaged by coming into contact with products and tools.
Creating the Atmosphere
Limiting interruptions and distractions
Wellness is about you! Please turn off your phone and limit others' access to the space where your session is being conducted. And if your session is hands-on or uses topical treatments please remove your jewelry so it doesn't get broken, damaged, or get in the way of your Practitioner's work - Practitioners aren't responsible for broken or damaged jewelry.
Your Practitioner will provide the music, aromatherapy, or any other elements deemed necessary and beneficial to your session!
If you can't relax, give attention to your body, or participate in your session then you won't get nearly as much benefit.
Pets and children
Keeping everyone safe
Kids are awesome - but falling off of tables and breaking equipment isn't. Please make sure your kids don't engage with any equipment, for everyone's safety.
Even the mellowist of fur babies can become upset or worried when they see their human face-down, or if a new person is touching their human or making noises that are new or disturbing to the animal's sense of hearing. And if their human makes any distressing sounds they may become aggressive towards the Practitioner. They also tend to like to chew or scratch the equipment because of the different textures and the interesting smells picked up from other locations.
Also, your Practitioner may have allergies to certain pets, so it's best if pets and children are not allowed in the session space while your Practitioner is there.
